My sweet boys and I!

This is what the hubby got for his birthday! He had bought this print well over a year ago, but we have never gotten it framed. I got it custom framed for him and it looks amazing!!! I let T pick out presents for his daddy and he got him a yellow motorcycle toy(he really wants his dad to have a motorcycle) and a book for his daddy to read to him at night!

It was a Super Soccer Saturday!!!!

Oh Super Soccer Saturday...how I will not miss you!
You see my husband who was an avid soccer player in highschool and college thought that our 3 year old needed to go ahead and start playing and that he would coach the team. So in February our family embarked on the journey of 3 and 4 yeard old soccer! T had his last game last Saturday and was I relieved!!!!

My adorable little sidekick Baby C and I before the game

T gearing up for the game by resting before the other kids get there

He may be small, but he gets in there

Look, Look, Look he is going to score!!!

Or not! The kids go the ball away from him and this is what the whole crowd got to see!

He had enough of soccer now time to play Army!
You see this is why I am done with Soccer! Until he asks us to play again, he will not partake in organized sports. He did not want his Daddy (the coach) playing with other kids so we had numerous meltdowns over that. He did not want to share his ball and so on and so on!

Seriously, who does this........

That would be my husband of course! I mean seriously who thinks that it would be a great idea to have a profession where you regularly jump out of perfectly good airplanes for a living? Who graduates college and then thinks, Oh man it would be really fun to have a job where once or twice a month I get all rigged up with my weapon and ruck and jump out of a plane at all hours of the day/night? I mean seriously! Yep, my husband and his co-workers/friends do this on a very regular basis.

Tonight Daddy C will embark on a night, combat equipment jump, essentially he will jump out of the perfectly good airplane with all equipment it would take to go directly into a combat situation. This morning when he left for work, I told him the usual, I love you, I will pray for a soft landing and that you do not get stuck in a tree or land in a creek bed. Besides my fellow RGR wives that read this blog, who can say that is what their husband does for a living?

I mean seriously who does that?

Gunfire in the morning....

I love it...I really really do! Wait, before you think I am totally nuts I shall explain.

I love living so close to Fort Benning, do I like Columbus, NO, but a girl must make do and I do love living so close to such a huge Army installation....it makes me feel so safe!

I love passing by Red Cloud range, on the way to take Tucker to school, and seeing the Bradleys, Strikers, Abrams tanks, etc firing....it makes me feel so safe!

I love walking Tucker into school and hearing the firing from the AMU pistol range right up the road....I feel so safe!

I love walking the track next to the Ranger Memorial and hearing the gun fire from the big gun range across the street....I feel so safe!

I love walking the track next to the Ranger Memorial and looking over to the memorial knowing that those amazing Rangers gave their lives for my boys and I to feel so safe!

I love being on post and seeing all of the men and women in uniform...I feel so safe!

I still get tears in my eyes when I see the new privates, freshly graduated from BCT, walking hand in hand with their wives/fiances/girlfriends/flavor of the week it reminds me of that time 5 years ago when I walked hand in hand with my freshly graduated private husband in the same exact place.

I love looking out of my window and seeing my very own Ranger pull up in the driveway, open our front door, lay down his beret and take of his boots after a long day....I feel so safe!

Sub-par

Do you ever just feel sub-par? Like you can not meet everyone's expectations of you? I have these 2 amazing little boys that rely on me for everything, I mean how can they not, afterall they are only 3 and 3 months. Yet, I always feel that I fall short of what they are expecting of me. I have a husband whom is never able to be around due to his job. Therefore I am the sole provider for my children's needs most of the days. I never have time for myself, which I believe is very important to be a proper provider for your children. I am not asking for a day away but simply an hour would be nice...come on an hour, that is all I am asking for. However I do not get this hour that I so desperately need to rejuvinate myself and come back fully ready to take on my 2 sweet little boys again. I do not know how to get these feeling of inadequacy to go away. I know my boys are well taken care of and happy little dudes at that, but I have to give everything I have everyday to make sure that they feel that way. I just do not see how me being so run down is going to be good for these two little guys in the end!

I need to find a way to get to a happy medium in all of this. I am trying but feel I keep on hitting walls. I am tired, I am grumpy, I am angry at the husband, I want to cry, but I can't because my 3 year old sits on my lap and I would not want to upset him!

So here I sit....feeling...sub-par!

Easter Weekend Fun!!!

The Easter weekend here in the Gleaton household was busy busy busy and fun fun fun! We started the weekend with a little Easter egg hunt in the front yard. You can see T had a super fun time gathering all of the eggs, but he has had even a better time eating all of the candy. Oh yeah and not to mention that Daddy C and I have had to re-hide said eggs about 5 times.

Sweet, little Miss L came to the egg hunt also. Her parents are great friends of ours and have been since college. I am glad that we are back in the same town so the kids can grow up together!

After the fun egg hunt we were brave enough to allow a 2 and a 3 year old dye eggs, hence the reason we allowed them to do it outside! It was fun for all involved and took a whole day to get the dye off of the little ones fingers!

And as all of this excitement was going on my sweet little baby C was sitting on his Pop-pop's lab, when I looked over I saw the evidence! My 3 month old had been consuming chocolate...but he looked as though he loved it!

After T was done dying eggs he apparantley took it upon himself to decorate his brother with the stickers he found in some of his eggs. Hmmmmm at least they are not on the walls.

Look at what the Easter Bunny brought! Here is Baby C with his Easter loot!

T was not thrilled with the camera this early in the morning, so this is the best it got!

All cleaned up and ready for Easter service at church and boy did I need that service. Some things have been going on with my oldest youngest brother that have really shaken me to the core lately....lets just say alot of tough love has been needed these past few week and I am hoping he gets the help he needs, but not at my expense (emotionally or monetarily) any more. The service was amazing and the pastor reminded me that Jesus's life was given so our sins are forgiven also we can turn all of our burden and hurt over to him and he will bring us through it. I really needed that message!!!!

And the grand-parents were here as well! That is always fun...eventhough the boys are super spoiled when they are here!

I hope that everyone's Easter was as great as ours. Family time is such amazing time, I can not get enough of the three men in my life. They bring me such joy and I can not stop smiling when I am around them!!!!! Off to snuggle with the number 1 man in my life Daddy C!

Meet Mama and Papa Kru.....

These two amazing people, whom also happen to be 2 of my greatest friends, just had a beautiful baby girl yesterday! Little miss K joined the world sometime yesterday morning/early afternoon. My source of information was Papa Kru, whom was a little jiggity when I talked to him, I am sure excitement had overcome him. But I did get out of him that she was 6lbs 13.9 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. I am so sad they live so far away now, in one year we went from living 2 doors down from one another to now living 12 hours apart.

Sweet Little Baby K

To my dear friends Mama and Papa Kru,
I am so excited for you and just know what you all are going to be amaing parents. Little Miss K is one lucky little girl and she does not even know it! Chase is anxiously awaiting the meeting of his future girlfriend! We love you guys!

The very top picture is from when a friend and I drove 12 hours to WV to surprise Mama Kru for her baby shower about a month ago. 12 hours with an 8 week old and a 6 week old was far from fun, but well worth it!

Being a Mother......

sure does change everything! If you asked me 9 years ago when Daddy C and I first started dating, if in 9 years I would be married to this amazing man and have 2 amazing boys with him I would think you were crazy. But today, 8 years 10 months and 30 days to the day that we began dating I am not only married to my high school sweetheart, but I am also the mother to his 2 amazingly sweet boys.

As I sit here today, my oldest son T is off on a little vacation of his own. He went to SC with his cousins to visit Daddy C's parents. After a visit with them for a few days my Dad will pick him up on Thursday and my parents and T will make there way here on Friday so we can all celebrate Easter as a family. I have never really had a problem with T going away before, my parents would take him for weekends when we lived in Savannah and would take him while we went on vacation, but man I had a super hard time letting him go this time. Infact I had already said no he was not going and then we decided he could make the decision. He said "Heck yeah, I wanna go see my Grandaddy". So here I sit without my big man T wishing he were home so I could hear his random comments and infectous laugh. Here is my sweet little man the night before he left.....cheesing like usual.

This little break from T has afforded me the opportunity to spend some much needed quality time with Baby C and Daddy C to for the matter. It has been nice to only have one little man to attend to, that still sleeps most of the day. It has been nice to spend one on one attention with Baby C and play with him during his waking hours. See how sweet he looks while playing.....

and another for good measure in case you did not see how cute he was above....

And last but certaintly not least on this cold April day in the southeast, well she is really in the north east sort of I guess, one of my best friends is currently in labor and has been last night with her first child. I can not wait to meet little miss K and wish Mama Kru and Papa Kru the best of luck on this super exciting day!
